Terminology Definitions

Please use the definitions below to gain a better understanding of the amazing qualities these products offer!

Visible Light Transmission (VLT): The ratio of visible solar light that passes through the glass to the visible solar light that reaches the glass. The lower the number, the darker the tint will be. Please see picture below for examples.

Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER): The ratio of solar energy rejected by the film. This is a combination of reflectance and absorption which is reflected outward. A higher percentage indicates that more solar energy and heat is being rejected.

Glare Reduction: The ratio of visible light transmitted through glass with tint compared to glass without tint. A higher number indicates less glare.
